Who Needs This?
If you were licensed as an Illinois Broker prior to May 1 2011, while you do not need to transition, you will still need to complete 12 hours of continuing education courses for the April 30, 2012 renewal. After passing the proctored short final exams for the 12 hr package you may renew your license. These exams can be taken at our office by appointment or by a local proctor convenient to you.
The 12 hr package includes.
CORE A Course Description: 3 hrs Mandatory
Covers changes to the Illinois License Act as it related to Agency Law, the continuing and new obligations imposed
upon real estate licensees and escrow account maintenance under the revised Illinois License Act.
CORE B Course Description 3 hrs Mandatory
Covers changes to the Illinois License Act as it related to Anti Trust, and Fair Housing.

Taxation 3 hrs Elective
Covers the basics of how property is taxed and what a real estate agent should know.
Ethics 3 hrs Elective
This course will also meet the NAR Quadrennial ETHICS requirement. ( see below for more inforamtion)

Code of Ethics Quadrennial Training Requirement.
NAR requires REALTORS® to complete at least 2.5hrs Code of Ethics training within an established four-year period. The current quadrennial period runs Jan 1, 2009 – Dec 31, 2012.
