Broker Pre-license Topics Course (75 Hrs)
Course Description:
Candidates for the Brokers licence are required to take 90 hours of pre-license course work which includes the 75 hrs Broker Topics Course which may be taken by online and a 15 hours Broker Pre-License interactive Course, which can only be taken by classroom.
Course Content:
This course was designed to meet the 75-hour prelicensing curriculum requirements for real estate brokers as set forth by the State of Illinois. The course covers topic areas such as Illinois license law, agency, state and federal law, relationships with employing brokers, working with sellers and buyers, real property, fair housing, ownership, contracts, real estate valuation, environmental issues, construction, real estate closings, advertising, property management, and commercial real estate. The course mixes presentation of facts, concepts, and key terms with real-life scenarios to illustrate the topics being taught, as well as opportunities for assessment to help you apply your new knowledge. Course Learning Objectivesncludes instruction in Illinois real estate law and licensure; the law of agency; broker relationship; forms of ownership. Be at least 21 years old;
•
Have graduated from high school or obtained the equivalent of a high school degree (GED);
•
Have successfully completed the 90 hrs of pre-license course work and 30 hrs of post license prior to their firs licence renewal date
